Thanks Chris. It will be a few months but I'll let you know how it goes. I expect mine to be the same as Jason's was. Yea, well, Mandrel Exaust systems said they'd work with me but it will be to much of a PITA to send the section back and wait for them to fix it. I'll just find a shop to do the work for me in-house.

Mods? Yea, I got mods ...
Air silencer delete, warp drive, dilithium crystals, flux capacitor, Slingshot Rubber band power adder, Moonshine & Gas, Leaf Blower Supercharger, Hamster Wheel & Hamster, Energizer Bunny generating 1.21 gigawatts, Mr. Fusion® Home Energy Reactor, hover conversion and a sextant celestial navigation system (The original GPS)
Best 1/4: 1,320 nanoseconds @ 670,616,629.2 miles per hour

i didnt expect either of you to drop everything and go trace it up for me. a simple response here on the forum where you have both had the time to post several times since my request would have been the respectable thing to do. and ron- why dont i have the $120 to "cough up" ? build it for $10 or less? **** you. and darren i didnt have a snide sarcastic tone or whatever when i asked for a simple favor from one enthusiast to another. you can both piss off.

edit: oh and ron i caught your other edits. spell check? make up your mind on what you want to say and say it. im done cluttering up this BS ebay exhaust thread. if either of you have anything else to say pm me or just say it in june at carlisle.

You should start it up and see what it sounds like with only the X-pipe & no muffs

The Drone with the X-pipe was just a little too much for me. Maybe I'm getting too old So here's what I ended up doing with mine. This solved the issue.

My rear O2's went away a long time ago, so we just put plugs in the rear O2 bungs.

rear O2's are disabled in the SCT chip, so no codes.

Jason..

Not to get off subject but what did your exhaust setup sound like without the mid-mount muffler..just true duals from front to back?..did you try that before you put the muffler there?

Yea I drove it about 75 miles or so with the X-pipe on there just as the full system comes. At idle and heavy throttle, it sounds great. But part throttle cruising between 1300~1900 or so rpms there is a dull drone in the car. This only affects me in the around town 45mph-ish driving. I have 373 gears so my highway rpms are over 2000 and the sound goes away. But those of you with stock gearing that puts you in the mid 1000's rpm range on the highway may not like it. If you've ever ridden in a Supercoupe without a resonator, you'll know what I'm talking about, although it's not quite as bad as the SC drone. The addition of the mid-mount Magnaflow muffler didn't really change the idle or WOT sound, it just killed 95% of that 1500~ rpm drone.

They came that way. The welds were painted with something silver because every time I touch it, I get silver all over my hands. Not sure on the rest of the pipes but there was definitely something sprayed on them before being shipped to me. The spray seems to be only around the welded areas (x-pipe, converter welds, & hanger mounts)
