I removed the grille and the chrome bar on the hood. I always thought it looked so stupid and ostentatious. After "smoking" the front lights, I think I'm happy with the way it looks. I'd like to have cut-outs in the bumper cover for some round driving lights, but I haven't yet decided.

Cool, thanks! I like chrome and the grille being there, I was envisioning a recessed billet one with polished face and painted sides.

Looks better than my 89, which is grille-less due to monkeys at the emissions station using the grille to pull down the hood to close it ::grr::

It was only a few years old, I bought a new grille and mount after someone decided they wanted the Cougar from the center, they tried to pry the ones on the C Pillars off too.

17s look so small. I should have gone with 18s, but IMHO the sweet spot is 19s for our cars, but I am a slave to the Bullit wheel.

with 19" wheels the brakes better match.

IMO 18's look the best, but 17's close behind in looks(at least they are lighter)

I know I have posted these images of my car previously, but since this is a specific wheel thread and no one else had these on their car I am gonna throw them up:

1993 Cobra Fanblades, 17"
Filled, redrilled and balanced with 5 on 4.5in. circles
Center wheel bore to SN95
Hub and rotor conversion to SN95 Cobra with calipers
wheel spacers to clear Cobra brake calipers
1991 (if i remember correctly) T-Bird SC center caps
245/17 series tires all round
Wheels and centers refinished in Ford Probe Wheel Silver
HR drop springs (1.5" front 1.2" rear), poly spring isolators in back

Will be re-doing the rear wheel set in repops of the 93 Cobra rim for an 8.5" width to run a 275 series tire out back. These wheels are an actual set of 93 Cobra rims so they are only a 7.5" width.

Godspeeds 18x10's with 285/40's & 18x9's with 255/45's. Fronts are 36MM offset and backs are 45MM offset. No spacers and plenty of clearance all around.
Oh yeah, mustang hub swap.

Actually the hardly stick out at all. It was the angle of my pics that made it look like they stuck out. I just went out and snapped a shot looking straight down on the front fender and you can barely see the tire sticking out. The rears are pefectly even.

yeah thats better than mine. my rear was dead on centered until i did the rearend rebuild, now it sits off to the passengerside like most foxbodies i ve lookde at. im installing a MaximumMotorsport panhardbar to help bring back the instant center. then thats it for the rear.

as for the front i still need to set my bumpsteer kit, align it, and set the camber. which i know will take some of the problem out. but rolling the fender will be likely too.

There are some sharp birds/cougars in here. I haven't just scrolled through a bunch of different wheel pics in a long time.

Here is what I've settled on for the past 6 years.

BBS RK 18X10 in back and 18X8.5 in front with the mustang pattern:

For the track, Weld Pro Star 15X8 in back and 15X3.5 in front, again, mustang pattern. I don't have any scanned sideshots with the welds.
