Cleaning up broken loom

I'm not sure if anyone else had trouble in this area, but the wire loom that ran along my trunk hinge cracked and was warring down the wires every time I opened and closed the truck. I removed the old section of factory loom tonight and replaced it with Painless Performance 'Power Braid'. The wrap looked really nice and I am looking forward to cleaning up some wires under my hood with it.

You can buy that kind of braided tubing here fairly cheap, in many colors.

I just recovered mine in the same 1/4" convoluted tubing and tape so it's like stock, but I'm weird that way.

My car is the standard dark green. The champagne color you see is my car cover.

That's a good source for braided loom. I had wanted to try the stuff from Painless for a while and I was able to get a really good deal on the loom kit that I got. This loom, just like the other things I have gotten from Painless Performance, is a very good quality. The only downside to their stuff is that they charge SO much for it.

I get that, and I probably would have done the same, but I will be recovering most of my engine harness that I modified to fit the bullitt intake. And now using it in the truck balances it out.

When I built my harnesses I used the cheap Harbor Freight split loom and 3M super 88 tape and wrapped the entire harness. It came out pretty nice.
