Ambient Air Temp Sensor

My outside air temperature reading is very slow to update. If I park it in a hot parking lot, it will take 20 or 30 minutes to update to the proper temperature. Yesterday, I parked it when the outside temperature was in the 50s. When I got back in to the car the temp was in the mid 80s. I drove nearly 50 miles before it had updated to the proper temperature. I this just the nature of the system, or is something going south, and needs to be replaced?

The 2nd temperature sensor is in the cabin, and is a reference to the one out front, behind the grill.

When the inside temp is hot, or cold, it will read funny until the cabin goes to ~40-80 degrees, then will work normally.

It's inside the satc unit, so it's more insulated than the cabin, so it takes a bit.

The sun beaming on the dash makes it worse.

OK That makes sense. It's a black car that lives in Texas. The interior does get hot.
Thanks for your expertise!
