i need a 145 mph speedo. i just swapped out the taurus style gauges from my 97 for the good gauges. its was pretty easy and worth it, i like the older style gauges way better. anyway i need a 145 mph speedo now. while the cluster is out of the car i figured i'd switch it now. if anyone had one or knows where i can get one for a good price let me know. Ford wants $140, thats way to much for just a speedo, i just got a whole 95 cluster from a junk yard for $20.

I was thinking about getting the 145 mph Speedo, but I also wanted the reverse indiglo gauges that Pro Carparts has. Is there a gauge face that works for the Bird 145 mph speedo? I got the kit for the 120 mph speedo, but wanted to know if there was a part that fit the 145.

What's the legal way to record the milage when the speedo is changed out? I'd like to change mine, but I don't want to lose track of the exact milage on the car.

Well you can spin it to your correct OD or you can take it to a garage who will record the current OD and new OD and put it on a sticker on the door jam.

Has anyone ever gotten someone to make a set of the reverse indiglo's like the 120mph kit on pro-carparts?

I would like to get the 145, but I also love the look of the reverse indiglo's from pro-carparts, but they didn't have a kit for the SC 145MPH speedo.

If you just want a speedo that reads "140mph" why not get the white faced NR Auto gauges decals and apply it over your 120mph gauge? Just a thought!

because if you just put a gauge face that says 140 over a 120 mph speedometer, you will never know how fast you were going. at 120 moh, it would read 140. if you swap int he sc 145 mph speedo, its calibrated to read correctly.

Ya. But think of the fun of having the wife and rear seat drivers screaming for mercy when you're doing 70 and the speedometer is reading 100 or so! Oh ,Yowie!

Sideoiler
Of course, you could red dot calibrate it. Or drive from the tach, too.

TO THE GUY WHO Y SOME PEOPLE WANT THE 145 MPH GUAGES, I CANT SPEAK FOR EVERYONE, BUT I THINK IT LOOKS BETTER, MORE SPORTY LOOKIN INTERIOR. BY THE WAY THE OWNER OF THAT CAR, DO U THINK ITS POSSIBLE THAT U CAN SHOW A NIGHTTIME PIC OF THE INTERIOR? I SAW IT SOMEWHERE AROUND HERE THAT U HAVE TO GET IT FROM TAURUS SHO AND THAT IT LIGHTS UP A DIFFERENT COLOR.

the answer to my question was right in front of me the whole time, now imma definately do it since my 120 mph gauge does not work, ( it only goes up to 30 and stays there, ford wanted $236 i think for a brand new one) i'll just do this instead.
