I bet y'all have cracked tail lights. The ones in the middle that don't blink. Mine cracked the day I installed a big box that cost me .150 seconds in the 1/4 mile. Then again it makes a nice traction aid.

I'm thinking of ditching the sub and getting a couple nice 6x9's....

Okay talking about subs, how would i go about to connect 3 Kicker CVR's 4ohms dual voice coil each to a Sony Xplod Amp 4ohm stable and 2ohm 1200 watts max?

im not trying to sound like an *** but thats just stupid.
To hook those subs up to a extremely overrated amp that probally produces 300rms will do alot of damage to those subs. and as kickers im sure they were probally prety expensive.
id suggest get a new amp. jbl gto series is a good idea

this man knows whats going on! i got 2 12" pyramid 1200 watt subs and 1 1600 watt 2 channel pyramid amp. bangs hard as fiznuck. better than my rockford 12" punch z's on the same amp. about to run 3 pyramid 12's 3 1600 watt amps, and a 5 farad cap. lets see somebody w/ name brand stuff beat that!

Ok, this last post absolutely proves that you've NEVER heard good subs on a good amp, so how on earth can you agree with Troy?

You're not 16, so I'm really kinda surprised at this. You need to listen to a sytem with genuine power and some REAL subs. Pyramid has NEVER EVER made any quality stuff. It's flea market equipment. If what you have sounds good, then your last system must have REALLY sucked.

You really think RE's and JBL GTi's would cost $300-500 if they weren't better than your crap Pyramids? Wake up boy!

I don’t think you know what you are talking about. Pyramid will never sound comparable to a quality product. I have one Kicker L7 10 and a JL Audio 500/1, I guarantee that would blow your system out of the water in Sound Quality and SPL. I have been fine tuning my system for years. Come down to Ohio and I will help you out, I won’t hold it against you that you like Pyramid.

Well, depending on whether it will fit or not, they will be my old Pioneer 12s from my last system. I have a feeling the enclosure will not fit vertically, so I am going to end up having to buy a new pair of Pioneer 10s. The enclosure is called the "Wicked One". It can be seen at http://www.decware.com/whorn.htm

Either size I get, this box is really supposed to make the most of the speakers as it pounds hard and fast because of its efficient design.

yeah i blew the new one (in center, pic somewhere here), and one on left about to blow (nasty rattle, still works though) so i pretty much got one good sub and one shizzy one playin, but people still compliment my system, as long as i don't open the trunk.......my buddy can hear me coming from about 2.5-3 blocks away w/ what i got now...........tax time needs to come so i can re-establish my system w/ some better subs. definitly going w/ 3 alpine 12's.....but will keep the pyramid amps....i don't care what people say about the quality of pyramid....these amps really aren't that bad.

edit: i may go w/ rockford fosgate he2 12's but i need to get ahold of my buddy and hook up one of his to one of my amps to see how it sounds

lol yah, sounds like a real high quality system.. Being able to be heard from 4 blocks away does not make it good, it probably means the bass is distorted and rattling your car

If your stereo is maxing your speakers out at 18 volume out of 30, you need to set your bass boost and stuff down, you should set your speakers to be max at a hair under full volume. This way you won't clip your amp. The way you have it now, if you crank the volume over 18, its gonna clip really bad.

I bought a 12" Kicker Solo X sub (in a custom built/tuned enclosure), had a 2500.1 amp pushing it & a 2-farad cap. Bought it in summer of '05 & sold it at the beginning of this year cause the dam thing was too loud. The girl that bought it put it in the back of a Blazer/Bravada/Explorer---I know it was a smaller SUV.

I don't have any subs right now . The Kicker Solo X subs def. move some serious air (10" & 12" - 2500W RMS/5000W Peak.....18" - 5000W RMS/10000W Peak)!!!

the volume number means nothing.

your amps dont put out anything close to 1600 watts, probably not even a third of that.

pyramid is not a good brand to get.

theres alot better stuff to get, you just need to talk to someone who knows what they are talking about so you can know whats good.

^ ^ Personally, I love the Kicker & MTX line of subs & amps...

Jeff: The local Circuit City has a nice selection of both so that may be a good place to check if you ever want to change your system. Just my .02.
