Category 6 Day of Destruction...A CBS 2 part movie. First part was on tonight and it concludes Wed. Anyways redlights are knocked out and a 89-93 light blue Thunderbird gets smashed right in the side by another car....it got t-boned.
Don't know how this got on the topic of Christine, but to add something, In the book, Steven King said the car had a 382 engine, then he said it had a 318. The 382 was never an option on the 58 Plymouth, and the Fury models usually came with a 350 Golden Commando with 2x4bbls. The 318 was commonly referred to as the V-800, because it when ofered in the Fury modle also came with 2x4bbls, and produced 290 HP. The 350 produced 305HP. In the book, whe Steven King referred to the 318 as having a 4 barrel carb, and exhaust tip, the 318 when in the Fury model only came with 2-4 barrel carbs, and dual exhaust!!
Very impressive, (for its day) the 1958 Plymouth Fury with the 350 ran mid-high 15's in road tests. It was also one of the very few cars, which came equipped with 150mph speedo. Most cars of the 50's only had 120mph speedos!! The 58 Plymouth Fury was probably one of the top fastest Full size American cars of the 50's, only beaten by the more luxerious Chrysler 300's
