I was watching the new NBC show "Hawaii" and at the end of the premier there was a 96/97 Thunderbird. It was an icy blue color with a Blue police light on top. The light looked like something from the 70's.

I have no idea what it was called but, I saw a movie with Chuck Norris in it and he was driving a 92 or 93 Tbird that was black. It was a sweet car. Don't know if anyone posted it on this yet.

I always thought Christine was a belvedere. Awesome movie , I need a car that can fix itself and will destroy women who try to interfere with my relationship with the car.

Well Steven King said it was a 1958 Fury but...

He calls it a 4 door: The 1956-1958 Fury's were only 2 door Hardtops

He says it is red and white: The 1958 Fury didn't come in this color (The Belvedere did though)

He says it has a hydromatic transmission: Hydromatic is GM

He says the transmission lever dropped into drive: The Fury had push button drive

Very interesting facts Shadowdragon.
Some descrepincies between the book and the movie.
His friend drove a 1968 Charger ( great car btw ). The book said Duster or something other than a Charger.

I can back you up on the no 58 Fury's in red too.

It was a Hollywood decision. Beige cars have zero evil appeal.

King actually got that part right. Lebay--the original owner--custom ordered the car in red.

Category 6 Day of Destruction...A CBS 2 part movie. First part was on tonight and it concludes Wed. Anyways redlights are knocked out and a 89-93 light blue Thunderbird gets smashed right in the side by another car....it got t-boned.

Don't know how this got on the topic of Christine, but to add something, In the book, Steven King said the car had a 382 engine, then he said it had a 318. The 382 was never an option on the 58 Plymouth, and the Fury models usually came with a 350 Golden Commando with 2x4bbls. The 318 was commonly referred to as the V-800, because it when ofered in the Fury modle also came with 2x4bbls, and produced 290 HP. The 350 produced 305HP. In the book, whe Steven King referred to the 318 as having a 4 barrel carb, and exhaust tip, the 318 when in the Fury model only came with 2-4 barrel carbs, and dual exhaust!!

Very impressive, (for its day) the 1958 Plymouth Fury with the 350 ran mid-high 15's in road tests. It was also one of the very few cars, which came equipped with 150mph speedo. Most cars of the 50's only had 120mph speedos!! The 58 Plymouth Fury was probably one of the top fastest Full size American cars of the 50's, only beaten by the more luxerious Chrysler 300's

I haven't seen the movie yet, but the reason is probably because there is a widely available, free, 66 T-bird 3D Model. It's just about as common as the 57 Chevy convertible.

Just saw it on USA, Liar Liar,
in the impound scene. Looks like an early foxbody Cougar, maybe an 83, wsa on a town truck when the guy brought Jim Carrey's benz around.

Maybe its Hollywood Homicide? Is that the movie with Josh Hartnett where hes a cop? Sorry I dont remember the name of the movie, so it may have been listed already, but he crashes his big black suburban or whatever, maybe his mustang? into I think a 95 t bird. Or if he doesnt hit it, then its sitting there next to the crash... Sorry, I only barely watched it because my girlfriend made me, and I wasnt paying any attention until I saw the t bird.

1996 3.8L v6 Thunderbird LX (crashed)...
My beautiful car was totaled. Woman on phone makes left turn across two lanes of 45 mph traffic without looking while its raining.... She didnt make it, I was forced to stop her.
