As I watched one of your videos, I had the coolest thought the other night.
I don't want to plan your vacation time but...
If you took the right course across the US, you could pick up the Eclipse at a southerly point, and extend the duration by flying along the path, adding time to the overall Eclipse duration.
It will take some analysis, and drafting Guitar Maestro to work some spherical geometry, probably, but basically the faster the aircraft, the longer the duration of the Eclipse.
I'm no master of these equations, but I believe the biggest deal is that the earth turns ~1000mph, so the sun ain't gonna stop.
I think all civilian aircraft are banned from that speed due to just that effect, lol. Oh, that and the whole sonic boom thing.
Are there any fast aircraft that have a nice sunroof? I'm in for gas and champagne, if possible.
