long time for me.

its been since dec of 1999. i had a 1995 before that i owned for a year before i got rid of it for the 96. so now its been goin on 12 years. ive owned my daily acura for 5 years and project 84 monte for 5 years. i bought my mn12 originally with 74000. now has 205k odo but still goes. was down however for a few years with blown trans and then later with blown cyl 5 spark plug. it will go under again for teksid mtr swap.

ill never sell her. shes too sentimental - to me a mirror of my own resilience and comeback. to rise again and yet again. not many get more than a second chance.

Well, the Cougar has been in my family since it's first mile in 1996. So quite a while!

I drive an endangered species...they are being crushed at an alarming rate. Please do your part to preserve the Cougar species, and ensure they live on into the future.

Yee Ha!

Bought the Cougar off the showroom floor back in '94. Wanted this platform and knew the Mustang guys would have forced the issue by the time I was ready to rip into it. Just drove her 3.5 hours, rode for 4 hours then back home for another 3.5 hours. A fresh set of upper control arms/sway bar links added to the beast the day before made the NC Natahala gorge twistys even more enjoyable. I look forward to driving Frankencougie every time I press the garage door opener plus it takes me places like this...

Today's Tsali ride

I have probably had mine for about 5 years now, but have owned Thunderbirds and Cougars for the past 11 years. Not a single regret. Eventually if I ever get my 95 set I may want an 84-88 Model to play with in the future.

97 Thunderbird LX 4.6 sohc, 60,000 original miles and lots of room for improvement.... All show and no go for now...
