You could sell the sport suspension components and basically get your money back. The LED tails if they're still fully functional can fetch you some money. Strut rod sleeves/washers/hardware, people will pay 50 bucks for that alone.....various engine parts, injectors, MAF, etc, etc. It's a great parts car.

Agreed; the 4.6 will last forever.

The tranny leaking could be the driveshaft causing issues; it happens.

An 02 JY tranny is cheap, and replacing the seal is easy while the tranny is out.

It will probably need all new rubber everywhere, so that's close to a grand in parts.

But $400+$1000+$300+300 (Car, suspension, tranny, driveshaft) =$2000; That is a great deal for a brand new feeling V8 car.

Add a PI intake, heads, and cams (~$200-300) with a dual exhaust(~$200), and it will really move.

It will eat most things you could buy for $10k.

Having a spare in case anything happens is good too, lol.

You don't know how tempting it is to buy this car. I woke up last night thinking about it. However, I'm already short on covered space, have a 1979 Ford Courier with two stuck exhaust valves, need to do the 800 hr. service on my 2615 Mahindra tractor, and I need to save money to go roller skating in Barcelona next year. There is no way I'd consider parting it out, or do I think it wise.

I'll just have to heave a big sigh and wonder about what could have been. There is a dirth of our cars in my neck of the woods, and few people truly understand and appreciate them. If I were a rich man, yada, yada.. I'd build a garage, and fill it with cars.
