I can drink the Summer Shandy, but the Orange Shandy is just too "orangey". I'd like it if it was dialed down a notch.

I've had a lot of feedback on the same, too much of a orange taste, kinda like tang. I also like Blue Moon, that would have the perfect dialed down level of taste.

Back on a beer kick are we? I've discovered this stuff recently and it's pretty awesome.

Not sure if you can find it outside of the mid-Atlantic area, but I'd highly recommend it. Pretty strong at 13.4 and 11.5%, and not particularly cheap at $16-25, but it's unlike any beer I've had before.

Those look really good Jeff!

I've moved the beer discussion from "Post a picture you took today" over to this thread that's been running for a while. This thread was started on St. Patty's day a few years ago and quickly took off as the beer thread.

I work for Budweiser so I guess I'm automatically bias towards our brands. But we did pick up a microbrewery called O'Fallon for our distributor company. Each year they come out with a Brews Stash limited run beer. This years was a 10 Day Double IPA that was pretty good. Very bitter though. Think it had something like 90 ibu's...I like bitter but anything 75 or higher i can feel hair growing on my rear after i take a sip.

And if any of you like the fusion drinks, Budlight lime, limearita, strawberita, stuff like that...theres a mangorita and raspberita coming out soon.

I deserve one; I spent a long, rainy day in the garage rebuilding a starter; at least it was 50 degrees, lol.

Strong and dark sounds like German brewing to me LOL!!! Been a long time since I was there but they had some heavy potent beer.

Since 2007 (last time i posted in this thread, i think I drank either Michelob Light or Bud Light) I've switched to Natural Light now. I've sinced moved out on my own and found Natural Light to be very cheap but still a good beer. 6 pack for just $4.00? Cant beat that

What did you think of it Keith? I'm not a big fan of it. Something you can try with it though. Last time I was up in Syracuse, this place had Angry Moons. Half Angry Orchard, half Blue Moon. I thought it was pretty good, kind of turns down the apple a little bit.

Today is my professional drinking day; I turn 51 at midnight.

I typically start at 4PM, and continue until daylight, lol.

I am starting in the garage now with Heiniken, and the fridge is full of Martini and Rossi Asti for later.

I'm going to see if I can reassemble a starter, and hone this block so I can measure it properly before dark; so we'll see how it goes.

I'll try not to post much later, as it will likely not make much sense. (as if that's different from the usual...)

Ok, so this weekend I've tried three new beers. I've had two before, but in a bar setting and didn't enjoy the taste. It was a quick choice or free offering. So doesn't count. haha

1) Samuel Adams Gold Snap. This is a winter seasonal witbier , comparable to Blue Moon and the Shock Top Belgian White. Has a citric favor, beer is smooth and easy to drink. I'm a big fan of the Witbier, this has to be the best thus far I tasted.

2) Redd's Apple Ale. Comparable to Wood chuck and Angry Orchard. Not a fan at all. Very sweet and then a tart taste at the end. Fruit beer.

3) Angry Orchard Crisp Apple and Cinnful Apple. Comparable to Wood chuck and Redd's. This was a more water'd down beer compared to Redd's. Naturally gluten free, naturally gross in my option. Sweet at first and the same tart afterwards like Redd's. Fruit beer. No thank you.

God Bless the men & women who have served and serving to keep us free

My choice of beers:
Leinenkugel's Orange Shandy, I could keep drinking it all night.
Redd's Apple Ale, still a little strong of an apple taste, but I can kill a 6-pack in no time.
