If you want this list to reflect my all time best then in this thread it should be 12.440 @ 112.54 mph and that was 7/07

Got it Jason. Thanks for getting me the correct time.

This is why I'm maintaining two lists - The Current Time list and this All Time list.

In general, I'm not a fan of "My car is faster than yours look what it ran in 19xx or 200x !"

If someone hasn't run near their best in years then the time is really irrelevant other than for historical purposes.

We'll see what happens in the spring Steve. Lets see. 400psi empty bottle and 26" tall drag radials put me in the 12.50's. I'll fill the bottle and get some 27" bias ply and see what happens in a few months. Any predictions? LOL

Bump. I was looking over this thread to check and update it and noticed this post that I missed previously. I didn't realize that he made those runs on E85 and his block is a 300 ci Boss Block vs the 281 ci of the standard 4.6L.

Anyway, I changed the 2011 date to 2010 for Chris (Blown38).

Any body else want to add their time?

You sure about that? Didn't think Hans was running a 5.0 block or E85.

Per Robert

See the quote below complete with links to hanz's times.

Edit: Duh, After looking at it again I see, you're right; he's talking about two things. 1. Hanz's times with the links and 2. Wayne's build with the Boss block and E85.

I'll make the correction.

I'm thinking Hans set up was a 12.1 aluminum teksid with renegade ported heads and aftermarket cams with the SVO blower, kooks etc when those numbers were run.

I'm thinking NA it was the same set up minus the blower when he ran the NA numbers. Guess only Rob would know for sure.

But it was a 4.6 running on gasoline.

Yea it was 11.1 but the setup was identical except blower

And Ron as long as its a 4.6 motor size it's good to go, only engine size difference would be like a 5.4 motor something that is physically bigger,

No way pal. Don't even go there.

Whole nother ballgame. You take a typical 4.6 281 cubes and then a 5.0 300+ inch, however you arrive at it. If each only make 1 HP per inch its NOT the same. You're looking at least 19-20+ HP minimum and a torque difference from the get go. If thats the case then why not use a stroked 5.3/5.4 either then? Why build a 5.0 or 5.3 then? There is an advantage or it wouldn't be done. Now a clean bored .020 or.030 over non stroked 4.6 is another story and not hardly enough to mention. Bottom line its either a 4.6 or a 5.0 or a 5.3 whatever. Yeah and I know people lie too or don't tell the whole truth!! LOL

Thats like saying a stock set of PI heads are comparable to a production set of TFS heads.

Oh, and I'm Santa Claus!!

It's beside the point, if its a 4.6 motor that's what matters, if y'all wanna whine on it so be it, ill put fords 6.2 in mine, that's and massive upgrade, I mean u can just bolt on bigger blower if need be and do the same thing, putting a 5.4 shelby motor is completely different

So be it see if I care

Got nothing to do with whinning. If thats the case why worry about a 5.3/5.4 if you have a 5.0. Just add a bigger blower.

It really matters especially if its a NA motor. There you aren't running power adders.

So if someone takes out your current numbers with a 5.0 or 5.3 then the 4.6 on the bottom of your signature really means nothing then? To some degree you have to keep things apples to apples, and oranges to oranges. 20-30 cubic inches is not apples to apples. Blown or NA!

People look at these forums to get actual information. If they don't understand what they are looking at in comparison then they get a false sense of whats real or not.

Thats all I'm trying to get across Rob. Its certainly nothing personal. We go back a LONG....... way! I think you know where I'm coming from here.

4.6L to 4.6L is (roughly) apples to apples.

As I've said before, there really is no true apples to apples comparison of our cars because no two cars are exactly alike.

For the purpose of this list engine size and a brief list of mods are identified. Due to the rising number of cars now running E85 I've also added that information to each person's list profile who runs E85. I know Chris uses race gas and probably Nickleman and Siska too, along with some of the other top time runners but I don't know which kinds of gas. I highly doubt that the top times on the list are run on just 93 pump gas, especially the V6 SC's.

If someone runs a better time than someone else on the list, the list viewer can look at the engine info and see roughly why. Granted there are many other variables including the extended mods list, track conditions and weather (DA). But for the purpose of brevity those factors aren't listed here.

Mods? Yea, I got mods ...

Try yours on race fuel and see how it does comparitively speaking to E85. That would be a fun experiment.

I know mine does much better with just a bit of oxygen enrichment ROFL!!!!

Speaking of which lets correct it with my new best since technically speaking I should be dropped from both lists now that the 97 is crushed and the 96 is doing all the work. Slower but honest.

Got it Chris. Thanks for the update.

Get yourself some DR's and get that time down where it should be with that engine set-up.

I've penciled in neverfastenough on the list at 11.8 seconds. He couldn't remember the exact numbers but his car is certainly capable and deserves a place on the list.

Congrats on an awesome car! Looking forward to seeing some new, firm numbers next year.

Here are the details that he sent to me:

Trapped over 120 but I don't know the exact number off the top of my head. Its a 3.8, built short block, stock split port heads, custom intake, turbo setup. Using a precision 6766. I'm doing heads and cam over winter. Back to single port with a full custom intake. Shooting for the 750 rwhp mark.
