It's been a while since I posted here.

I'm REALLY pumped about this, the car is a 3.8 with a 2.6L KB blower, C4 and ladder bars.

Car ran 9.956 @ 135.12 mph and a 1.364 60'

Video can be seen here: http://www.sccoa.com/forums/showthre...r-is-BROKEN!!!

Congratulations.

Is it still a C4 Auto, 3.8L 2V with a 2.6L KB ?

If any of that has changed or you want to add anything let me know and I'll update the list.

Thanks.

Edit: Duh. You said so in your post. Sorry I didn't read it through.

It will be a while. As far as I know, Rob's no where near finishing his car. That record won't be broken this fall, it'll be some time next year. I know EECDOC also has a monster build currently underway but I don't know where he's at with that build either.

Again, Congrats Brian. That's a great time with a great car.

I heard that Siska was working on something interesting but he's not been around in a while. He's a great guy and I look forward to seeing his new stuff, he was a real help to me when I was scoping out my rear end build.

My car should have some more in it (I hope). I'm just starting to get the suspension figured out and this past weekend I had to dial my launch rpm way back in order to get it to hook up.

Car will be loosing some weight this winter as well with fiberglass doors and deck lid. Although I may need to look at completing the cage which will add some weight back in.

For now though I'm pretty happy.

The mods never end...........

Congratulations Brian on a job well done!!!! Its awesome to see a 9 Second 6 cylinder SC in whatever configuration. Just goes to show what can be done in these platforms. Mike and I were talking about you Friday morning and wondering if it would hit around there or not. Way to go.

The formula is pretty dang accurate.
But still a new low time and speed in the 1/8 for Cougar Jet VI.
That's her name since last April when I put on the wrap.

Steve, this is the same engine that was repaired in March, I was having issues with the
tune and new torque converter.
It has the TFS intake, new cams and long tube headers.

Thanks Rick. Congratulations on a great run. That's a killer 60'

You'll have to post some pictures of the car with the new wrap.

Unfortunately I can't add that time to the list because it's not a 1/4 mile run and even with the time conversion there is no MPH for the quarter to list with the time.

Great 60" NA Rick. I didn't know you had the motor down. What was wrong with it? I've been out of the loop for a while with all the heart surgery stuff and other issues. Sounds like you made some good upgrades. Good luck with it this year.

Hoping to have mine up and running by sometime in April-May if all goes well with my surgery in February.

I'm thinking we'll see 3 NA cars MN12/FN10 cars in the 11's this coming year 2016!! Should be fun. Shake this list up a little bit.

#8 cylinder had blow by.

I changed the intake, cams, headers and the Torque converter.

Hope to see you at summerblast.
Or possibly at the NMRA Maple Grove race in May.

Add the Apten or "Crack Pipe" mod to the rear of the driver's head, and that will be a thing of the past.

#7 and #8 are always the cylinders I have problems with; they detonate first when you're tuning, setting the deal for the rest of the engine.

The 4.6 iron block that I recycled had #6, 7, and 8 clearances getting bigger as it went back; #8 was 4 mils over in the middle of the bore, kinda like a barrel.
#7 was wider at the top, lol.
All the other ones were close to stock; that had to be heat.

As a contrast, the Teksid engine I bought measured 3.552 -.0001 to 0.0006 inc. on all axes, all the way to the bottom of the sleeve.

It apparently got fed enough quaker state to choke it out, with one imrc open, and one closed.
Judging from the rear end damage of the donor car, it doesn't accelerate very well that way.
