It's all about A) Doing the right mods to take advantage of your HP level and not getting too far ahead of yourself by freeing up too much airflow, and B) Getting a good launch. I had a 1.8 60'.

Also note, I use 15" rims which give me better grip.

I don't think those will really hurt, they won't help though until you get more power. Removing the mufflers hurt though. Check out the comparisons here: Muffler Comparision Chart

Dropped race weight from 3900 to 3740 by:

on N20, 75 dry shot,

{New Setup}
5.8L C6

Bone Stock
Edelbrock 600cfm Carb.
Mallory Unilte Dizzy
3" foot of exhuast,
dumped under the front seats.
Lots of weight removal

1/4 N/A

I have not ran at the track yet with the new setup, but lets just say, it stays right with my brother's 96 GT that runs low 13's.
