Finally got our "Diamond In The Rough" looking a little bit polished. Still need to do some work at some point but our Father/Son project is much more presentable now. Wheels and trunk lid change has made a huge improvement over the factory senior citizen look.

Those are a good match on the Cougar, pretty much a scaled up lacy spoke wheel

Yes, they are Verde Kaos with a silver finish. I went with 18's and a 255/40/18 Continental Extreme Contact DWS tire. It's lowered about 1.6" front and rear with no clearance issues.

I wanted a set of 20" wheels but I like having a smoother ride and a bit more sidewall since my T-Bird is supercharged.

I like the dark blue Cougars the best but the dark green Cougars/T-Bird's are my second favorite. I've got a blue '96 Cougar, too.

Yep! Still the original paint. It has held up pretty well, but she's due for a touch up at the body shop to get all the years of small dings and scratches out. Holding off on that though until I finish a few things, no point in painting it only to be leaning over the fenders and scratching it again.

Thanks! In the next coming weeks, she'll be out of commission for a while, need to rebuild the rear end and ditch all the original bushings. The traction just isn't there anymore from the worn toe compensators.
