Matt, you're incorrigible! That's always annoyed me that the light switch didn't light up (and I knew you had been working on this). Looks great!

Yeah I had a few other ideas over the last few months, most desirable being the Mark VIII switch and plate grafted in, but it's just too much work. I'd have to cut up the dash, come up with mounting, align it with the bezel, ect. ect. and it would still be a compromise because the mark's switch plate is rounded towards the bottom leaving a gap between it and the bezel. I think this switch might be the one. Just Bore a hole through the stock switch plate and pop it in.

Oh and it's from a newer Fusion if anyone's curious. It even has a push pull for fog lights

I knew that looked familiar! I believe the push pull switch is for the SE and SEL models only......in case anyone was interested. Waiting to see the finished product!

i sure don't. Its not in the budget at this time to replace them.
I more than likely never will, as the car will lose the IRS one of these days.

^^^ car porn! i like it stripped down. easy to see how huge the fuel tank is when its not blocking everything else. i never really thought the driveshaft was that tucked up and in. no wonder these cars are so safe, stable and driftable. thats the unibody's "backbone" more or less... and i feel you on switching to a solid axle. It is a much lighter and durable assembly. It is even possible to even do a 4-link axle conversion? or would that involve too much hackery? i see you have already removed your stock trunk v- brace.

I have been thinking about what I could do to my Mark VIII to make it a little faster for CAROLINA THUNDER on November 25. The most obvious would be a re tune to shift at higher rpms since it is short shifting at 5,600 rpms. But due to being unemployed that is out of the question due to cost. I do not want to shift it manually particularly 1st to 2nd because I do not want to chance over reving it. I kept thinking if I could limit the shifter to only 2nd and 3rd gear as the 2nd to 3rd gear shift is only at 5,450 rpms and I think I could handle shifting that manually. After a week of thinking about this I made a template out of cardboard and then traced it to wood and cut it out. Works perfect. Put the car in drive and drop the insert into the console. Launch it and as soon as it shifts to second I can pull the shifter back into 2nd without any fear of going into 1st and then shift it manually into 3rd. Tried it and it works great. You can see some pictures here the 3rd post down. http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=85949

Matt you are correct, Seattle, WA.

It is a very hipster-diverse area that’s for sure. A lot of college student movements and social hangouts near coffee shops in the downtown college area. I've always wanted to visit Seattle for the longest time, so I was glad to jump on a slot to help out with firefighting at the joint base just south of Seattle. Very beautiful state can't wait to go back some day with the wife.

the pics don't show, but i did install an 8 point roll bar.
if you look closely, you can see through the floor subframes I made and installed as well.

Anything is possible, as far as 4 link, ladder bar settup. You just have to provide the points of attatchment.
