I want to bump this post up for anyone that needs to do this job. I used these directions today to tackle my heater core and they were spot on. I'd like to add though, that after having done it, the main harness plug through the firewall could have been left alone, and the dash doesn't have to come all the way out, because the harness will stretch enough for you to remove the heater core. You need about 11" from the back of the dash to get the heater core out of the access panel. But I have to say, this write up saved me hours of time. I started at 10am, and took a few breaks, and had the car running and together by 5pm. 10 points to the author!
