I ordered these shocks, (backordered for another week at least) because my car is not a Sport nor does it have ARC, but the fronts are Bilstein.

The Parts Bin Special is DEAD! It is being parted out.

Ordered the used Bilstein rears. Vendor says KYB GR2s are basically a quality stock replacement, not really performance valved. Gotta find better fronts now...

No part number change (That I'm aware of). They're still listed at Shock Warehouse under the F4-BE5-... number. You may want to call Tire Rack to confirm; if you want to order them from there. The image on the Tire Rack website is listed as "Most Approximate Photo Shown" so, I wouldn't sweat the difference in photo's. The one's you linked at Tire Rack are the correct year and model.

This is the cheapest place I've found them - and where I got mine from.

Well, I anyone is interested, I've got a used pair with less than 15K on them. Goes along with the other upgrades on the car I'm forced to scrap.

Look on the bright side; at least there's still demand for them and they won't be discontinued like the Koni fronts.

I need two more sets of these, before...

The one set I have is SO much better than even the new sport shocks I have.

OK so I have a low mile (kinda) set of front OEM sport shocks.
Let's say I get a pair of these Bilsteins for the rear.

All that paired up with Vogtland 1.6" drop springs.

will that set up work? (compatible all around?)

Cars: 97 Tbird 4.6 spt pkg(SOLD), 05 BMW 330Ci Perf. pkg, 03 Elantra (wife's)

In a nutshell - Yes. The front OEM's will work.

Although, while you've got everything apart I'd recommed getting a set of the Tokico blues for the front. I think they're the only performance option left for the front.

No, but I checked up on the Bilstien rear parts and if they are still available (checking at Shockwharehouse.com) and @114 a pop may be the better route. Proven and all...

They're good for the drag strip. People have had issues with them on the street and road course/autox type situations though.

So it wouldnt be a good idea to use them? The car is a street/ future strip. I dont plan on taking it to road course.

off topic but would you happen to be a CMC member XR7-4.6 ?

Yep, I'm on CMC http://www.chicagolandmustang.com/fo...Cougar-XR7-4-6

I haven't posted there much recently though. I usually go there to find meets or find parts lol

With the QA1s seeing limited street use and strip duties, you'll probably be fine with them. That's pretty much exactly what they're designed for actually since they're lightweight. AutoX is what really seems to do a number on them according to what's been said on corner-carvers. A few have worn them out like brake pads on track days.

That are currently available? Tokico HP. That are recently available? Koni. Front is very limited these days. Tokico is slightly stiffer than OEM sport shocks
