Mark VIII LCA install bolt question

So has anyone actually tried to put in the front bolts in backward? Torx end facing the front of the car/nut facing the back. I'm not particularly in love with the OEM method of facing them one direction and R&Ring the halfshafts to do it. Do they hit the halfshafts in that configuration or does the community "think" they hit the halfshafts that way?

They fit just fine in that orientation, and it makes it FAR easier to remove the knuckles. I've run them the "wrong" way since first installing them in 2002.

Thanks Rod! I must have looked at that picture of your car a million times and somehow I missed the bolt positioning all this time

Works for me, doesn't seem like they'd contact unless something much worse happens first.
