I know, the crappy ones which came with the car are too small and slide around.

I'll post some pics and thoughts on their quality. That's a darn good price for what they may be!

For some reason I assumed you had a newer model with the 4.6... Probably because you see so few of yours around. Really cool to see a 5.0 in such nice shape! I can't believe how different the interior is on your gen, guess I haven't really looked close at them. The first gen interior almost looks like its of better quality and finish.

The white letter tires on the chrome wheels look great, the mud flaps are very fitting.. overall the wheel / tire combo IMO make it look tough.

Are you planing anything major to it, or to keep it mostly stock?

As stock as possible. if there's easy HP without tearing into engine...maybe, but she cruises fine.

Thanks on the compliment!

The interior looks great, but is hard thin plastic...not the best material. I've had to do some repair on parts that clip into the dash top, still working that issue. But it's all holding together. I put the dash top on it to protect it and muffle some of the plastic's vibrations.

The seats are comfy, but my 96 Riviera had the best seats ever... I do like the SC's seats, but that would be a lot of bolstering!

The car is remarkably clean on the inside, when I took the passenger seat out, just a hairpin and a penny was found. No ground in dirt or wrappers or anything. Either is was professionally cleaned or the previous owner just kept it up and clean... Which is my gameplan!

Floormats came in!

Not a bad deal for around $85'ish!!!
Good quality, custom fit, they go in tomorrow!

The Thunderbird logo is sewn in with silver thread, all very well done.

They look really nice. I can see why the shipping over to the UK was going to be so much though. Big box (obvious really I suppose)!

I prefer Weathertech. They cost more but they're well worth the price.

the rears are too large, they don't sit in there very well. I may try some tricks, but the crappy black ones which came with the car I'll keep the back ones...
You can buy front's only though, and those fit perfectly! Pics later

My car only ever had fronts to begin with. Nobody ever sits back there.

Does the price go down if you order them without the rears? I plugged in mine and with logo the total was like $175, $130 for the mats and $45 for the logo, but I didn't notice any sort of delete credit. That's over double what you got them for ???

Those mats look great! Not surprised about the fitment of the back though. The black carpet I ordered from them fits like shit in the back but the front was good. It seems as if they cant get the back part the new carpet and mats right for some reason.

I'm curious to know, does the driver side mat have the ring so it can attach to the bottom of the seat? You know, so the carpet doesn't slide around.

It doesn't, just the knobs on the bottom. I pressed down on it once installed to dig those into the carpet.

I have acc mats and carpet in my Cougars, they are nice but I do have a couple complaints. The carpet didn't fit well and it didn't help I ordered the extra rubberized backing. And the back floor mats aren't the same shape as the factory ones. The factory ones has 2 corners clipped for the front seat tracks and acc ones don't so they are just bent up on the front seat tracks

I got them in, sideways, but they fit. Yes, they need notches!

The fronts went in fine. Just dig them in a little to get grip and it's all good

I also wrapped the steering wheel with a leather wrap from Wheelskins... I did this on my Riviera and that held up forever.

The OEM wheel is just too thin!

Line up the leather prior to sewing it on.

Follow the instructions...work SLOW... take your time...avoid knots!!

When you're done, tuck away the end knot and enjoy

They're not rubber.

That dash is actually my favorite part of those Rivieras, reminds me of 60s designs. Outside they remind me too much of the Mark VIII

I had that car for years. never left me stranded. 240HP 240TQ. Was the nicest Riviera in KC.
I now have one of the nicest Thunderbirds in KC too. Getting lots of compliments.

Love the car! Love this forum!

Dashes from the 60's the angle was in the opposite direction. It usually the same angle as the glove box . That one takes a 90 degree turn after the government box
