There isn't one. All 1993s are OBD I

Use the OBD (I) test port under the hood. You can short out two of the pins to get the light on the dash to blink the codes. You can also have the EEC run an engine diagnostic test procedure too.

Oh, I was more curious than anything... Doesn't appear to be any problems with the car, just wanted to check with the code reader I got off EBay...
Thanks though!

OBD II wasn't fully implemented until 1996, by law. In 1994 the 4.6 powered MN12s got it(NA V6s got the port but was left unused) but they were one of the few cars to beta test that interface before the mandate went into effect.

Good info here, Thanks all !!
So the the OBD-1 is the connector behind drivers side headlamp, on a 89 SC correct?
Would be very interested in what to short and where for the proper display.

Umm ... no.

Passenger side shock tower, towards the back, labeled "ECU".

There's another one that looks like it labeled "ABS" for the ABS controller.

I'm sure there's other postings, but see Ford ? OBD/OBD2 Trouble Codes for a good example of how to do it.
