Question Belt Tensioner/Idler Pulley Thread Direction?

I'm thinking I need to replace one or both. I'm hearing that chirpy wobble wobble sound on light acceleration. It's not a slipping belt, I think it's a bearing. I'm assuming it's the belt tensioner as it only does it when I give it gas.

I've done them on my old Riviera, BUT the threads on those were reversed, so they wouldn't unscrew themselves should they fail.

Are they reversed on my 93 5.0?

Thanks!

Nope. Both of the pulleys are standard thread. The direction the belt runs would tighten them if it worked that way.

Cool!
I didn't actually look at the direction the belt moves.

Thanks
