I think you and my mother-in-law would have a lot of "fun" going back and forth over the different oil additives (she's a marketing manager/chemist at Lubrizol)...

At work we use Motorcraft synthetic blend (bulk), and if the vehicle has an extended warranty Motorcraft full synthetic is used that is in regular retail bottles.

Since the cost per quart is quite a bit higher for full, than blend, this tells me Ford believes in the full synthetic investment.
