You know you have a 5.0 Tbird/Cougar when:

...Everyone finally believes you after you open the hood

...You spend half an hour trying to aim the timing light so you can see it

...The first mod you wanna do is headers

...An exhaust place you go to says "Well you'll have to come back in a few days when we have more time."

But then become quickly tired of that big bad 5.8L's single digit fuel economy and wish you had your wussy 4.6L or 5.0L back.

Hahaha....beat me to it. If Mike Siska isn't seeing more than 10.5@130mph with his Whipple blown 2V and over 550rwhp, then your all motor 408 isn't gonna see anything in the 9's any time soon. I think you mixed up your 1/8th and 1/4-mile time slips.

Remember badbird95.....you already mentioned to me in an earlier thread that your engine was still stock.

BTW......My AED 281 > your 408

You know you have a 5.0 when you have a catback system and a U/D pulley kit and still run 16's.

Also when you stop at a stop light and your voltage meter drops and your temp goes up!!!

And your back wheels are extremely bald!

Last but not least when you buddy in a 4.6 is getting better gas mileage and smoking you!!!!!!!!LOL

Heres a little teaser with my new camera
I also put on a new coil

I'm also moving the battery and the starter relay to the trunk, to clean up that side of the engine bay.

Man, aint that the truth.

Also, my J-tuned EFI 5.8L still got 22MPG on the H/W with the A/C on and still netted me decent (tractionless) timeslips. But I do admit, even with 311 RWHP it still doesn't have that never-ending supply of top-end pull that my "wussy" DOHC 4.6L produces.

When your new frpp shorty headers for a '93 mustang won't fit till you get a torch and do some bending to clear the motor mount. That's after the steering mod.

When you and 2 others with 3 crowbars attempt to installed any of the bolts on a set of MAC headers because they blow out the gaskets every 3 - 6 months. And it still it takes 8 hours with all of you and each of you have done it at least a dozen times.

Or you’re at an Autocross meet and your first run blows the collector completely off your MAC headers and then you have to drive over 100 miles unable to hear the stereo.

After countless repairs to your MAC headers you finally smarten up and buy a set of JBA headers and are totally amazed that you installed them without your 2 buddies and the crowbars in less than 30 minutes.

Cheap will get you nothing but headaches with our cars. As far as I'm concerned any MAC header isn't worth the scrap it's made from.

Example, brand new heads off the engine and only got 2 bolts out of the eight on one side that could be threaded in. Not a single other bolt hole lined up and the flanges were over 1/4 inch away from the head's exhaust flange when you tried to force the headers to line up.
