this is the first turbo car im buliding. i will get everything set to go for my turbo guy to install the vac lines and plumn the oil lines and scavcage pump and get it running..

of coruse the ecu will be tuned and the bigger injectors and new mas air flow and battery relocate and fuel cell .. then it will be running

hey it's cool to blow the doors off the stang guys sometimes, but remember it's the ricers that need the beating! Our engines are based off the mustang 4.6 lol. So don't beat them too bad, maybe the occasional cocky cobra :P

I've been buliding this car for years and its taking me forever to get it done.. but I'm doing it right .I will keep posting update when I can.. I love the look people give u when u smoke there car ..they have more money in thereees then u do and u just eat them alive . It the best feeling

I know the same feeling man and I am getting close, so just hang in there. Each fitting runned me about 4 buck each plus the small connectors.. I bough does at my local Ace Hardware store..

Sorry to jack the thread ironworker but we have some knowledgeable folks keeping an eye on it so i thought id ask a quick question.

ok im doing the mockup on my 5.0 right now. the left header flipped and fit no poblem but my right one isnt gonna flip without a fight. so i did some looking and think i have a pretty decent solution.


ok in this pic i was thinking of extending the rear tube, far left, and then removing the front one and placing it in cylinder number 3's spot. do you guys think thats an acceptable idea or is there a better one that i havent even thought about?

i had the same problem.. i cut the header apart and refab it .. cut it apart and move it back . leave enuff of the header tube one there for ajustment. and buy one 6 foot pipe . mesuare the header tube and get the right size pipe..

in my pic u can see the headers.. my passanger side header u are going to have to do some thing like mine but with one more tube

on the stock header i cut apart i had to rearange every tube till it fit right. i started mocking up the pipe. i used 1 1/4 pipe and everything fit i had to cut and bend the tubes to fit

Don't cut the runners, just extend the main pipe, will be a less of a hassle..

k.... i think its awesome when isee peoplople takle a project of such magnitude. why hasn't this project been flamed as much as TTs? there welding looks simular? i'm glad to see this guys getting respect but i was expecting the same treatment.

Yes my welds look like crap.. I do agree.. I had 200 feet of 3/8 cord because the grage did not have power in there so yes they will look like crap because its running cold.. like I all read said these are mock up headers and I'm sending mine off to be remade with stanless stell for a shiny look lol..

But go a head and talk smack because I don't have feelings to get hurt.. it will just make me want to get ti done faster.. but ill take my time because I want it done right.. thanks for the comment .. this is my first tt turbo project.. so any help I can get would be much appreciated

keep up the good work bro.....my welds do not look great either, but knowing what to look as far as penetration, they are fine.

i did the water test and they dont leak.. i just want them to look like a pro made them.. well a pro did make them lol not but i got to give my self an ad aboy

i just pick my own stuff apart because i just want it to look good and im hard on my self for perfection . i have a lot of time invested in this car and set up

Not too bad i guess. I really need to find someone with some t3s or such for the actual placement of them. Thats my biggest hold up right now. I guess i could get to work on the plumbing of the oil lines but then that requires the turbos being there too. lol. Also before i cut um a perfectly good header im gonna have the damn turbos.

I didn't see a pic of the oil returns or I may have missed them.I would run separate lines to the oil pan just under the where the windage tray comes up beside the oil pan.Two lines in a T would fight each other, possibly cause an oil back up in the turbos, and leak oil inside the turbo housings.A higher flow oil pump wouldn't be a bad idea either,if you have a larger compacity oil pan.

looks great!!! good job on the headers! i'm currently building my 95 3.8LX.......... swapping in a 4.6, i'm thinking a nice twin set-up, and possibly a t45 swap

but on a 3.8 note, i may build an old sc block and turbo it, drop it in my 87 cougar (which is a 2.3 turbo 5 speed right now)

god i love turbo fords, good luck with the rest of the build!
