You guys up north are lucky. I lived near Philly from birth to age 29 so I know your cars are faster. They all weigh like 500lbs less due to corrosion from the salt in the winter time.

They look like little beer kegs and there are three per kit. The panel with the switches just yanks off on both doors. By the way this is from my '97 which had one dead winnder when I got it and the other died the day after I fixed the first. When you pull those switch panels you'll see a single screw holding the dool panel on. Remove the screw and lift up, DO NOT YANK OUT ON THE DOOR PANEL ALONG THE BOTTOM ! The panel on mine is held on by hooks that point down, it's not like the old door panels you ripped off.. Now reach through the hole in the door and grab the motor while you remove the three screws that hold it in. It doesn't matter where the window is when you do this. As you pull the motor through the hole your hand was in , unplug the sucker and take it somewhere big and flat and clean because the next step is to open the gearbox with a "TORX" driver (just one screw) and pop off a "C" clip which is like a snap ring but crappier and might fly off. Pull the cover off and remove the crumbs of the old "regulators" and clean the whole mess out. I never add any lube on these fixes because it always seems slimey enough in there for me. Put the cover (which includes the main window pinion gear) back on just a little as you tuck those three little poly barrels in at the same time untill the whole thing sinks together. Replace "C" clip and TORX screw and re-plant/re-plug motor. By the way Ford has used the same window works since the mid 60s. The rest is just the opposite of the first. Happy windowing
KK!!.. I may just take you up on that six pack and parts deal!.. I know I'd definitely like to have them working again!.. even though, now, I have another problem!.. I fell asleep the other night behind the wheel and woke up to the sound of my passenger side mirror being mutilated! Good thing is ABSOLUTELY nothing else happened from my brush with death so I'm good!! haha

You mean the seats cleaned up nicely afterwards?

Glad to hear that was ALL of it.

As a note - there's metric buttloads of power mirrors for TBirds/Cougars on eBay.

K, so here are some pics of the intake mod I did a couple days ago:
The obvious before pic..

The during pic.. I cleaned the throttle body flange too..

The finished product..

K so what i did was score a 2000 mustang GT intake tube off a good friend, bought a spectre fiber cone and a 2pk of hose clamps. The biggest obstacle was the inlet from the intake tube was larger than the MAF flange so I put the 3" adaptor ring on the MAF flange, tightned the hose clamp and viola! the rest was easy as cake! Sounds great and lessend the jump affect on the OD shift when you peg the throttle.. still want that jump affect quite a bit less though.

Check this out! was surprised the filter was as clean as it was! haha. I took the air silencer out while in there for good measure and I DO realize I coulda used the full size spectre cone but was worried bout clearance and completely mutilated the box the small one came in to get it out!! haha Im impatient!

you need to fab up a heatshield for that filter

it is going to suck hot motor air in and eventually start pulling dirt and grease from the road

some plexiglass and stick-on foam insulation should suffice.

Yeah, I'm going to Orlando tomorrow to talk about fabbing up a sheet metal one and bolting it to the three bolt locations from the old air silencer

I made a heatsheild like that years ago, was basicly fully boxed with the bottom having the 3 holes and the oval air opening. I made out of interlocking folded layers of sheet aluminum and pop rivets. That setup looked nice for doing absolutely nothing

Very old pic...
