If Scott says your ride is "perfect," it is. I'd take that to the bank. 11-12 psi should be awesome, the bowtie guys will be shocked (and so will the other Mark guys).
I think we have most of of what we need in place now for GB. Aric found a couple of Reichart pulleys for her. One just under 3" to try first with the Cobra crank pulley we have on her now, and a 3.1" like your's in case we have to go to the oversize crank pulley. We won't know 'til we do a WOT pull at the dyno, and see if she slips. Gots to have choices, y'know Scott spent another "vacation" week working full time on GB. Nothing real exotic though. Just real PIA stuff. We had a bum fitting connection at the ps rack and had to replace the brand new rack to fix a ps leak. We both hope that rack NEVER has to come down again - NOT EVER. The other issue was the A/C. There was an "o" ring leak that had to be tracked down and fixed and a hose that had to be replaced to get cold air to blow. Gots to have A/C in Florida. He left the car at Injected so that Aric can drive it around for awhile and fine tune the driveability and work an issue with the speedometer drive gear in the '03 4R we used - something is causing the speedo to mis-read the speeds and the shift points are suffering the consequences. He'll get that figured out. Then I guess it's back to the dyno.. I'll let everyone know when I do. I'm anxious to see your Mark when I get up there... -mike

Glad to hear all is good with GB, Mike. As you already know, it could not be in better hands.
It is great finding all these things now, rather than when you are on the road with no A/C and PS fluid. I am on my second road trip already with the Mark. The first was a couple days after Aric finished the Mark - went to Raleigh, and I am now on my second trip - Detroit for a huge Mark VIII meet at Jeremi's house. He is expecting somewhere up to 30 Mark's showing up at his front door this Saturday. Aric is going to change my speedo gear to a white one also when I return from Detroit. Kinda the same reason as GB. I have 410's with a stock 327 speedo gear. I have issues after the 1-2 shift. Check out the videos I posted in this thread to see what I mean. Best of luck with everything, and hope to see you the next time your in the ATL.

A lot has happened since my Michigan trip. The Vortech SC let go about 38 miles from my home after driving non-stop 11 hours from Detroit on 8/12/07.
![]() ![]() Aric sent the compressor back to Vortech, and they replaced it under warranty, with no explanation of what caused the failure in the first place. The new compressor is on the car, and it now has a Reichard Racing 3.1 pulley on it. ![]() The Mark had a dyno tune session with Aric this past Friday, and he has the Mark running at 401 rwhp and 318 rwtq now. He spun it up to 7k, and it keeps pulling strong all the way up making 10 psi of boost at 7k rpm. If I can remember it all, he is commanding the shift at 6900, the actual shift happens at 7000-7100, and the rev limiter is at 7150. Here is a video of the dyno tune session Friday morning: I took it directly to Atlanta Dragway after the dyno tune Friday evening. Best run of the day - New personal best for the Mark :60'..........1.905 330'.........5.313 1/8..........8.113 MPH.........88.07 1000'.......10.542 1/4.........12.585 MPH........110.65 Coming next month for the Mark... Cobra Intake, Accufab TB, Brembo Brakes, Boze Wheels, etc., just in time for SSHS7! ![]()

I was sort of "in the loop" on this, since GB was next in line at Aric's shop. I heard about the failure and that Vortech stepped up to the plate, and that was good news.
Congrats on the power numbers and track times. and thanks for warming up the dyno. Right after Aric finished with the Mark he called Ryan and told him to bring GB down. The results are posted HERE. Scott's supposed to go up to Aric's tonite, and bring her back to his shop. You may see him out and about, "test" driving her. When Scott's done with her, we're planning on stepping down a pulley size or two, so there will be at least one more dyno session, hopefully before SSHS7. If I'm given enough notice, I'll be up for that, and if all goes well, back up for SSHS7. Hope to see you and the Mark soon. From all accounts I've heard (from Scott, Aric and Ryan), she's a beaut and a real runner. -mike

Thanks, Guys. Ryan called me last night, and said the Boze Rims have been cut, and are being finished up now. They will ship next week. They are custom made, staggered 2 piece rims with the screw fasteners reversed inboard so the rim will have a smooth look.
Here is a picture of them, but, they will not have the giant lip that the picture has. The rear sway bar is going to be modded to make some room for the wider rims, and the plan is to have everything inside the wheel wells, with a lowered stance. http://www.bozeforged.com/protouring.html ![]() It was nice to see GB again at Aric's shop. BTW, Sorry for the drool... Congratulations on your numbers too! Glad to hear GB is coming together, and it would be very cool if Scott could have it ready for the shootout.Let me know when you plan to come back to the ATL. I live not even 5 minutes from Aric's shop, and would love to see GB on the rollers again.

With SSHS7 behind me now, and the Mark's new hubs, brakes, rims, and tires being installed in the next few weeks, it is time now to start thinking about fortifying the engine.
The car now has 401rwhp, and 318rwtq, and has run a 12.162 @ 113.42 in the quarter mile. All this on a totally internally stock engine with 107k miles on it with the help of the Vortech supercharger. It was very tough decision, but I found myself at a crossroad with the Mark. I have decided to keep it in the 400-500rwhp range. I just do not see the point of going any further with the power at this time. Therefore, mostly bottom end stuff is going to be done. Here is a highlight list: Injected 302 Stroker Kit Custom Manley Pistons-off set Manley H-Beam Rods ARP 2000 Bolts Total Seal Stainless File Rings Federal Mogul H Rod & Main Bearings ARP Main Stud Kit ARP High Tensile Strength Head Studs (with 12 pt nuts) Melling High Volume Oil Pump with Billet Gears Refresh Cylinder Heads Accufab Single Blade Throttle Body 96-98 Cobra Intake Aric is going to use one of his Teksid blocks to build the motor, and swap with the motor in the Mark when he is done building the motor. ![]()

Wow,Great times. The car truly is a sleeper. It reminds me of a 96 Black Thunderbird Sport that was once owned by a moderater on these here forums.PI swaped Vortech supercharged and it looked completly stock.I had the privilage of working on this car a few times and driving it.And with only 333rwhp and 302rwtq it was a blast to drive. And also the sleeper PI swaped 94 SVO car my dad drives.I love your car and thank you for doing the work you did.

Thanks again, Everyone!
Here are some pics of the first set of rims that were sent back to Boze over a month ago. They drilled them in the Lincoln Mark VIII 5 x 4.25 pattern, instead of reading the build sheet that Aric sent them that said he was doing a hub swap to the Mustang 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern and installing a Brembo big brake kit on the car. These are custom made rims using all of Aric's measurements that he took off the car to ensure these rims and tires will be inside the wheel wells . The car is going to have a lowered stance, with 18x9" (actual 10" measured) rim in the rear with 285/35 Toyo tires. The rear sway bar is going to be modified by Bell Chassis Works to allow the tire and rim to fit inside the wheel well. There will be 255/40's in the front. The second set arrived with the correct bolt pattern last Tuesday, and will be installed next week when the hubs and brakes are done. I will post more pics next week. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Are these light weight wheels? Any idea on how much they will weigh? Thanks.

No, Unfortunately not. I believe they weigh in around 20-25 pounds each. I will have them weighed before they are mounted on the tires, and let you know for sure.

Dropped the Mark off at Injected Engineering today
Aric is going to start the transformation after he is done tuning a car. Here are some pictures of one of the rear rims with the correct bolt pattern, and the Classic Tube SS brake lines. Tyler was kind enough to weigh the rear rim for me, and it came in at 24 1/2 pounds. All goes well, it might be done this week ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Purdy. Merry Christmas to Mikey huh?
Is that front spindle clearance going to be a problem? Looks pretty snug in there from that pic....

Thanks Marvin
All the props though, need to go out to Aric Carrion with Injected Engineering. He is the one that made this build reality. I just paid the bills... There is more space there than you think. I just stuck the camera up there and pulled the trigger without looking. BTW, lol, He said anyone doubting all this stuff won't fit on the Mark owes him a bottle of Crown Royal :p www.injectedengineering.com

Those are beautiful wheels. If you don't mind me asking...How much did they cost? 2500? The brake setup doesn't hurt the look any either. Thank you for the the wheel weight...or thank Aric.

i guess due to offset you couldnt use the ones posted in your first post, #67. i think if you coulda got them in that design they would look better. these will make the mark look more tuner-ish. and with no lip it takes away from the car. maybe when you get everything bolted on and level on the ground, some full body shots will make the difference.

It was very tough finding a rim manufacturer that could make it all work on this car with the Brembos in a style of rim that I like. I added more progress pictures to the link below. The Mark has it's new shoes on, but there are a couple more things left to do. The front SS lines need to be installed. I think Aric might try the ones supplied in the Brembo kit. They are about 1" shorter than the stock rubber lines. He would have to make a bracket though. Or, the Classic Tube ones might still go on the car to save some time. They will be here on Tuesday. He is also tossing around the idea to use a 1/4" wheel spacer in the rear so he does not have to modify the sway bar. If he does that, he will need to install some drag racing extended wheel studs in the rear hubs. Before all that, he is going to lower it some more to set the stance, because it is way too high right now. It appears right now, that the rear wheel will squat and disappear in the wheel well like I want it ![]() http://picasaweb.google.com/papapeac...72820675477858
