I always considered August to be part of summer.
I don't know if I'll have my a/c working by then. |

Put your windows down panzy
![]() The reason for the last weekend of August is due to Rod Run. Pidgeon Forge is crazy busy, and the Gap and surrounding area will have a ton of traffic. If we go the weekend before, there will be much less traffic. If we waited until mid to late September, we will be gambling will weather.

Ditto, watch the Pigeon Forge event schedules. I never know what's going on there until guys at work complain about the traffic. I deliver mail around the new hospital in Sevierville, not much of the event traffic affects me fortunately.

You're right late August isn't fall so call it late summer... also, in September you have to deal with all the "leaf lookers" who clog the roads looking at the fall foliage. I think the last weekend in Aug. is an excellent choice.

Ok, well, I'm pretty certain about everything but the date so, I'd say that's the only thing to figure out and that's something we just have to get from everybody. I mean, that's not something that we are going to be able to plan over the phone like we did for the route and so on. I'd almost think that maybe a poll for the new date might be a good idea. And include all saturdays in Aug and Sept and maybe a few from Oct and allow multi vote, that way people can vote for every weekend they could attend. Also, don't forget two things my Camaro and some other car doesn't have AC anymore And the leaf-lookers.

Leaf maggots are unavoidable, but they can be passed. Like I said before, roll down your windows panzy
I'll do the poll on a new thread so we can get this sorted out. Good Idea.
