Oh I know man. We NEVER get more than a dusting or half inch, and usually those only happen once or twice a winter. We're slated for another 1"-2" tomorrow. GLOBAL WHAT?!?

Thats quite a haul for you Blown. I appreciate your making this event happen . THATS GOES FOR EVERYONE!

I lived in Kingsport TN during the blizzard of 93, and its still the talk of the town

Not too much snow from 93 until this year.

Who is going the farthest to be there? I'm still planning on driving down from northern IL...

Mach, I think you are in the running for longest commute, but I read a few people are coming from Roanoke, VA, and BLOWN38 is coming from a good ways away if he's on the potomac, so I think you might have some competition. I know I go on and on but this is really cool that this is coming together so well with such an eclectic mix of cars and people coming from all over the east coast and midwest. Trust me though, its worth it.

Yeah, that's the most snow I've seen in my life, lol.

Some people got that Today.

I think this cold snap (for the last 10 years) is Mother Nature sayin' "In your Face, Gore!"

lol.

I think I get shortest trip; anyone else from ET?

Got this in an email today:

Hi Joshua,
I saw that your group will be riding The Dragon in April. I opened Skyway Convenience & Cafe in Nov. of 2008. I am located about 12 mile on 129 South from Deals Gap. My fuel is Chevron. We offer a full breakfast bar and a delicious lunch. Would love you to stop by for gas, food etc. I will have a free Dragon sticker for your group and if you have lunch I can do a free drink or something. Have you ever ridden Cherohala Skyway? Awesome ride! It is a loop from the Dragon that will take you back to Maryville. I am at the intersection to the Skyway.

Nina Yeargin
Owner - Skyway Convenience & Cafe

Are any of you guys interested in this for lunch during the trip? Keep in mind that once we're out there, there is little for food and gas. I myself think that a free dragon sticker is AWESOME! Saves me a $1.50 Let me know what y'all think?

That's fine.

I'd like to have the address or exact location so I can plan for it. Although, I think it would fit right in to the schedule, I don't want to be driving around for 30 mintues looking for it.

By the way, whats the track day date for Nashville again, and what are the plans if the rs is still available. Man, I haven't talked to you in forever. I never really realized exactly how much I text messaged until it was gone.

In the e-mail, I think she was saying 12 miles south of deals gap, but deals gap is a road not a location. So, is that 12 miles south of the gas station or the end of what people consider the 11 miles of road or mile marker 12. You see now how it really doesn't pin point the location of her station?

The Nashville SS Track day is the 18th of April. It is something not to be missed. http://www.trscca.org/soloschedule.html

Actually, you know what, I'm sure it'll be fine. I'm sure we'll find it. If you can still get an address that'd be nice, but either way I think it'll work out fine.

Hello everyone; this is my first post here. Since I've moved to Eastern Tennessee, I've only been through the Dragon's tail once (in someone else's car.)

A friend of mine that I worked with years ago (machausta) said there's a bunch of you going on a tour, and I thought that sounds very cool, but am not really sure my car would fit in. "But, there's another C5 (ssrogers) in group" to keep me company.

So, I'm basically just going through to give it a test and see how it feels. Maybe put me at the end and ssrogers at the beginning? What do you think? i.e. don't put us together; someone will get in trouble

P.S. My car is a C6 Z06 (blue); so you can't miss it!

LOL Randy. I'm pretty sure that you'll fit in OK, with that car being so low from the factory, I'm sure people just look over it all the time

Randy, BY ALL MEANS BRING THE VETTE! By the way, ssrogers has a C6 Z51, not a C5. Being that he is a seasoned veteran of the Gap, and has a very comporable car, you guys will have a very good time out there. I am a Vette fanatic myself, byt haven't quite found the finanancial means to afford one yet. Trust me though, one day I WILL own one of them. So, definitely plan to join us in April as you're more than welcome .

By the wasy, do you ave a pic of the Z06? I love those cars!

Ah yes, machausta told me that I missed a digit there, ssrogers and I are only 1 year apart. I don't have any good pics yet other than one in the garage--I'll take more. Based on what machausta told me a few days ago, he may soon have more HP than me, but I'll get him in the corners with my low rider

What in the heck is Machausta doing? That is some serious power if he is outdoing the Z06. Don't sweat it though . . . you've got me by a few hundred ponies

I don't know about SOON necessarily, but I do have a little something planned. I have everything for the PI headswap/intake, but I'm looking at something bigger now...

One of the first mods I did on a past car, and probably more relevant to the Deal's Gap/TCCoA tour, was better sway bars and body bushings. If anyone is "on the fence" about their next mod, that's where I would start. Especially if you're going on this trip...more control is always better!

Amen Krusher. I'm the type that would rather have an awesome braking, superior handling ride before going fast. You can always make a car fast, but if you can't control it or slow it down, whats the point?

Hmm, Machausta . . . do I sense a little PSI being fed into the 4.6 in the near future

No, you should be up front with me. Follow me though, I'll keep you out of trouble, but still show you what that car can do.

Now, I'm not going to haul through there the very minute I get there and would suggest that nobody does. Get used to what the Gap is all about. Don't try to memorize it, I've been through a Lot of times and don't have it memorized yet. All you high horsepower guys, DON'T try to use it all in one stap. Ease into full throttle. This road is about rhythm and handling. You have a cliff wall on one side and a drop of on the other. Having said that, don't let this road scare you, it is a road not an actual Dragon, but it still must be respected as if it was a Dragon, if that made any sense.

That cracked me up Steven. Remember, show it respect . . .

Now, what about all that talk that you weren't gonna leave me and the group behind? I say go for it man, and I am glad that you'll have some company out there, however I do feel that some of the birds, cats, and marks are gonna suprise you All I ask is that we keep it safe at ALL times, and I also ask that we stay together on the interstate. No Rod Run repeats if you know what I mean

I didn't know Puff was a cartoon. I just thought it was a children's song like Itsy Bitsy Spider.
