Wyotech vs UTI

My nephew is heading out to Wyotech this weekend. My 2nd Daughter wants to go to Wyotech to learn how to fix and build cars. Her Guidance counselor is trying to steer her to UTI.

Any informed opinions?

Don't know anything about Wyotech, but a friend of mine graduated from UTI and makes about $19hr as a tech at Ford now. It was easy for him to find a job and he learned a lot at UTI.

My brother had a rep from UTI visit the house. The rep was very unprofessional and very high pressure towards my brother. I couldn't beleive how high pressure the guy was, he was like a vulture. He was very rude, so rude in fact that my father asked the guy to leave.

That and the fact that the school is way overpriced to learn mechanics, he won't be going there.

They expect a 17 year old kid to go get his own apartment in downtown houston of all places, and they steer him toward jobs.

The whole deal is not as sweet as it seems on tv.

I went to Wyotech. When I graduated from there I went to a UTI sponsered BMW program for 8 months. After seeing both campuses I am glad that I picked Wyotech. Smaller Campus, less jerkoffs and what not. They both have there pros and cons, but I would definitly recommend Wyotech over UTI. PM me for any questions you might have.

WyoTech for sure.

We had reps from both come and do a presentation in high school Auto class.

WyoTech definately seemed to be a nicer place.

i have 8 friends that go to UTI they say its great. I have one friend that graduated from there he work at mercedes now. I also have a friend thats going to wyotech. I think UTI is more known for mechanical and Wyotech is more known for body work
