I think he is planning on restoring web hosting to the paying members, based on the well worded message he put on members.tccoa.com.

This should have been done a long time ago. But none-the-less... the fricken whiners are already crafting their stupid messages.

I totally agree that the non-paying members should have been booted off the free webspace years ago, too. But those of us that pay shouldn't be kicked off.

I don't think the paying members are being kicked off. However the quickest and easiest way to solve the problem was to shut off the entire members.tccoa site and then get the paying members back on as time (and programming) permits. I am just guessing about this of course.

And for the record..... Not whining.

Ok, I'll GLADLY and QUICKLY restore any paying member's files. They're all still on the server but have been moved to an alternate directory. I have a simple utility that will do the job for me, but I need to know your hosting username. Just post that in a message and I'll fix them.

Don't expect me to notify you that they're fixed, they'll work when they work, but I will do my best to do them as quickly as I can.

Yup. Not everybody uses their forum username for the hosting. Otherwise I could automate the process. I just need to know the name you use for the hosting.

Oh well... some of the best tech advice this site got was from non-members. So be it. Adios.

Thanks Will. Sometimes it takes a big stick upside my head to get me to renew my membership... point taken

I dont mind waiting for the software to get my space back, I dont have anything horribly important up there right now.

I'm confused by this statement. To my knowledge, the only thing that SW has done is make the web hosting available only to the members. The forums are still wide open. Again, as far as I know.

well, obviously the free hosting was all that was holding some of the people here, so be it, this online community shouldn't have to revolve around free web pages. just my .02

Ahhh I see. Well if the free hosting was all that was keeping some here, then they truly are bandwidth suckers! Those who are truly here to make a contribution won't be as concerned about the hosting.

I'm not overly concerned about it. I'm a paying member and plan on continuing to be so.

I guess I need to start taking advantage of the pseudo-free web hosting instead of paying Andale their monthly fee...

One quick question though… can we link to the photos hosted on TCCoA (like from an eBay auction?)
