gauge reads cool, rad hose too hot

on my sc i got the fan running all the time and the temp gauge stays below norm, but the upper rad hose its hard and hot , and the thermostat housing is super hot., is this normal?

could the thermostat be stuck clos

1993 tbird sc.. catback , 10%, 14 psi..... SOLD
1995 tbird sc.. auto,chameleon, MP Intake, MP tenioner springs,SCI Underdrives,double ic with fan, ported blower and plenum 8% pulley, single exhaust, flowmaster muffs. Mark viii brakes, 19 inch rims.. Taylor 8.2 wires, VDO gauges. ..15+lbs boost.

Sounds like an air pocket...after filling radiator loosen the bleeder on the stalk attached to the thermostat housing to vent the air.

thanks david, did that and helped a lil bit , i was just worried now that i got the ic fan my temps don't even reach the n even after stepping on it hard

thats a dummy guage. it only reads correct when engine is freezing or steaming..go figure lol

lol i see , sometimes its too lazy to get up past the cold mark
