Red face 91 sc hard to start

hi my name is don i just got this 91 sc i just put a dis in a week a go and it ran fine but a few days ago it started to run bad so i got another dis put it in and it ran fine to day its hard to start like it jumped time when it starts it runs fine some times the rpm dont show please help

It sounds like you do have an ignition problem. It could be wiring, cam sensor, or crank sensor related. When you crank the car, does the yellow upshift light in the tach light up?

Did you put heat sink under the dis? It can cause problems if you dont....I didnt get heat sink, just used dielectric grease and it seems to work fine, also might want to change the cam position sensor, should be like 32 bucks at an auto store, im told that can cause the tach to drop out, seemed to fix mine, so I would do those two things first. Also you could check to see if it is throwing any codes.

the light comes on when i turn the key but when i turn it over i dont see it when it dose run it seems like its got a slight miss and the tach is working now but i dont trust it! its still hard to start. yes i did i got some from a computer store wheres the cam sensor

cam sensor is to the right of the dis, follow the wires from the right side should be underneath the sc on the block, its probably black and two inches in diameter. think it has two screws holding it in.

5% safe stock or 10% or more UD supercharger pulleys, but if you don't open up the exhaust some, you chances on blowing headgaskets go up
