engine swap for ???

Without going into a long story. I want to replace my SC engine for something along lines of a Carb. V8. Want engine will fit and what would be good transmission. The car is a 90 SC 5-spd

If you go with a small block ford you can reuse your 5 speed, it's plenty strong and mounts right up

That's really nice to know Forgot to add that the 5spd has hard time going into 3rd gear w/o grinding. hmm may have to get that fixed now

302 and 351 fit really well.
460 fits, but I have no info on that swap.

you would need some 91-93 5.0 top plates for the motor mounts.

Synchros are cheap and easy enough to replace.

Carb and V8 is not SC IMHO, but if that's what you want 460.

If all else fails get a bigger hammer!
