SC help please

My SC wants to (buck is the best word I can come up with) once 5 lbs of boost is reached. I have tried sea foam, fresher gas, and a new coil pack with little or no change. It runs great at idol with -20 lbs and all the way up to +5 lbs. The same is true while driving down the road, until it goes over the five lbs boost mark. It does have a under drive pulley and a DI, however I am not sure how much that would affect the trouble I am having. Does anyone have any ideas? It is a 93 with 5 speed. Thank you in advance.

Start with new plugs and wires. Make sure the wires "click" onto the plugs.

My 92 is more or less doing the same. Most people say to go with wires and plugs so i suggest that as well.

Another idea: check the pipe running to the throttle body for cracks, missing breather line, looses clamps etc. What you described sounds excactly like a boost leak on a MAF car.

IF there is nothing obviously loose, you can try a boost test. If you can build boost in neutral, have someone watch underneath the hood while you build 3-5 psi, then let off the throttle hard. The pressurized air will come out the void, and will be easy to see/hear.

I guess my 95 is also doing the same " bucking " thing is mine really only does this when not allowed to run after starting it, an sometimes during boosting . IF I say get in it start it up and take off it bucks / jerks horribly until it gets warm.IF it is allowed to sit at idle for a few minutes it does not do it. Also sometimes at idle in gear like at a light it jerks while in gear take it out of gear it idles smoothly.

Still can not pin the problem down

I have a random hard miss in this SC of mine. And when I say random, I am refuring to it not happening on every revolution on the firing sequence. There are no codes coming up, I have changed the plugs, wires, the D.I.S., put fresh gas in it, ran sea foam through the fuel system and still can not seem to get the bug out. It does not seem to do it or at least do it as bad when it is dead cold, but it is quite bad after it warms up. If it is sitting at an idle it does not have the problem. I am guessing a sensor, but which one is where I am lost.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Make sure that your plugs are on the Coil right, I had this problem and I had them wrong:
Back row is 1,2,3
Front row is 5,6,4

It will run but not well if mixed up.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you

Happy to report that my bucking is gone! I had new plugs and wires all ready this past weekend I replaced the dim module and while doing that discovered a crack in the ignition coil . Yeah sorta pricey but the buck is gone and it runs 3000 percent better.
