91 SC pulls 500 rwhp.....well almost

Went to the dyno yesterday to see how much power the car was making since switching from an 85mm TB to a 95mm TB, and it pulled an almost cool number of 499.66 rwhp & 467.65 rwtq

Probably would have pulled 500 if we had remembered to turn on the dyno fan, or the weather was a little cooler. This was with 93 octane and meth injection just as it is driven on the street. Even though I came up a little short of the 500 rwhp goal, I'm still very pleased with how well the car is running and how streetable it is.

I noticed your dyno graph. Are you seriously turning that thing to 12,000 RPM?

I think that scale is x50, not x100. I noticed that, too.

No....we kept having problems losing the tach signal, so we used MPH instead of RPM. Pulls started at around 3100 and ended at around 6700 rpms. It still makes good power as high as 6850 but rev limiter is set to 6800 to reduce the chance of breaking stuff.

Factory knuckles, but judging by the delrin bushings and zerk fittings I'd say that's DLF's handy work.

Dear LORD!!! That is power!. . . What is even more amazing is that in one of those photos it seems you have eaten alive a Ford Mustang Cobra SVT!!!! WOW!!!
If i may. . . how much does a modification such as this cost to have completed to your vehicle?

Yeah probably, but it doesn't hurt to ask does it? If it does, then I'm sorry. Oh and one more thing, thank you for the link for the dyno. I have now made that a background for my system. (Y)

I quit counting a long time ago. If just doing it once with everything I have on the car now it would cost much less. Then again a lot of the stuff didn't exist back then. I've owned the car since 1993 and didn't start doing any mods until 1999, and didn't start getting serious until around early 2002. From that point until now I've probably spent enough to buy a new GT 500. I imagine it could be done today for about half that amount.

Yeah I already said that. If we are just talking ET and HP it could be done at a fraction of the cost using other motors and power adders, but duplicating this particular car would cost a lot more.

Just flat out incredible Dave. I hope my SC can be a tenth as nice some day. Is there a decal on you power distribution box? Mine has yellow lettering on it, and I don't believe it says SC on it...unless they changed them in the later years?
