Getting to the Valve Covers

I've started taking off the supercharger on my 1990 5-speed. I'm replacing it with a supercharger from a 1994 automatic SC.

My valve covers are leaking badly so I want to get them off and install roller rockers.

I have a couple questions.

1. How the heck to you get the lower IC tube out without taking off the power steering pump? My tube is hung on the lower stud and it doesn't appear there's a way to get the IC ear off that stud without moving the power steering pump.

2. I've got the 94 supercharger and intake plenum. Is there any advantage to using the 94 throttle body or injectors?

Thanks,

Eddie

Its got a stud that mountsto the PS pump bracket. So taking it off would be your best bet.

Thanks.

I found the stud to the power steering pump bracket and a third mounting spot that was even lower. Even after unbolting the lower IC tube, it wouldn't come up out of there until I got the power steering pump mounting bracket loose so it could be moved forward and out of the way.

No benifit in using the throttle body, however the 90SC came with 30lb injectors.....the 94/95 SC's came with 36lb injecters. A nice upgrade.

1. Those IC Tube studs are a pain, so once I get them off, I fix them for the next time like this for the upper tube and I did the bottom also.
If I have to take it off again, it will be a lot easier to just loosen the nut and slide it off. Good luck
