cutting the 70mm maf

is it safe to cut the bridge out of the 70 mm maf. the drilling think dont sound like a good idea but my buddy has a extra one from a 4.6 and was just think of some cheap ponies

It's not worth it. you won't really gain anything and it will throw off the transfer function of the maf.

cut it out flush with bottom and as flush as you can at base of sample tube .

then after removing the sensor drill a 15/32 hole in existing sample tube hole this will correct the flow thru to sensor .
dont replace the blockopff plate at back side of tube leave it off . this trick is good for 2-5 hp on a sc stocker,

mines been like this for three yrs now and i passed smog in socal twice with it.

this setup passed smog in so calif in oct this yr ,

its not done this is one im doing for a friend,

i cut post out and will blend it and remove nub left at bottom of tb drill it 15/32 and it works great
