X-pipe on a Mark VIII

Hey guys, I've got a set of Dynomax race bullet mufflers on my 97 Mark LSC. I am looking to get a little more volume/agressive tone out of it. I was thinking of seeing if I can find an exhaust shop to cut my 3rd cat off for me and put an X-pipe on. Do you guys think this would get me what I want? I dont want it to be too loud. Also, does anybody even make any 2in X-pipes that would fit my stock exhaust? I looked around a bit and couldnt seem to find much. Thanks.

My tbrid 4.6 has dynomax race magnum mufflers with a magnaflow x-pipe on it. I can tell you that having the dynomax mufflers mid mounted with no crossover pipe definatley had a choppier sound to it, maybe more muscular sounding. But with the X installed the sound mellowed down a bit, definatley a decrease in volume, but in my opinion sounds much better. The sound is VERY much like a SN95 mustang. In my opinion much more so than the famed true dual midmounted magnaflow with an internal X... Good luck.
