I want a new exhaust

Ok so I'm thinking of redoing the exhaust on my 96' v8 bird. I love flowmasters but I'm looking for more flow and not having the mufflers hanging down. Right now after the manifolds I have down tubes running into a y pipe into one pipe and then into another y pipe splitting out running to two mufflers out the back. I was wondering, if I were to put a glass pack between the two y pipes and then run pipes out the back would that work for flow and such?

If you want flow you need to go to True Duals. There are threads on it in this section.
