Exhaust Question...

Would a true 2 inch dual exhaust system be good for about 250-260hp? I have true 2 inch duals with magnaflow mufflers and I'm noticing many here have 2.25 true duals. Is there that much of a difference? What would happen if you had about 250/260 hp and your true dual exhaust system was only 2 inches? Would it blow the pipes off, cause the engine to stall??

There is a table in the tech articles section: http://www.tccoa.com/articles/exhaust/index.html

I tend to think most people mistakenly go too large with their exhaust, and end up ruining their low end torque. Two inch duals should be fine, especially for a street driven car.

it would be fine and actually have more torque on an NA car than a car with 2.5" true duals (keeps the velocity up)

2.25" would be ok....keeps the back pressure needed for low end torque.
