Question Catalitic Converters

i have my old cats from my original exhaust system. would a salvage yard buy'em or would it be better to jus scrap'em?

It is illegal for a salvage yard to sell used cats, so if they do buy them it will be for pennies and then they will end up scrapping it anyway. So you are likely better off going straight to the scrap yard.

You need to find a buyer of catalytic converters, some will require the vehicles information, etc ..

Yes, it could be somewhat difficult because the theft problems of catalytic converters have led to laws in many states that keep people from being able to easily sell them.
