exhaust size

i was thinking of having my exhaust done again because the cats are dying out and i wanted it a little bit louder. what i wanted to know was what size exhaust would be best to go with? so far i have a explorer pi motor, brain coated ported exhaust manifolds, cold air intake, and in the future im looking at doing some cams and few other minor bolt ons with a retune. any suggestions are appreciated. thanks.

Check this thread out. There are many of us running this system. There are some good pictures of this system installed and a video or two of how it sounds.

i already looked into that before, and the shop that im going to can bend a whole new exhaust for me for around 250. im going to do high flow cats and an x pipe as well, and was stuck on if i should go with a 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 inch pipe.

I had 2.5" on a bone stock NPI motor and didn't feel a difference in performance or anything (I think I remember some people saying they lost torque?) If the shop can do 2.5", I'd just go with that and be done with it. That way you've got space to grow down the road in case you decide to.
