cats causing this noise?

this week, my ds cat was rattling. it seems the catalyst material has come free and is making it rattle. a rubber mallet confirmed this.

today, it started making this loud hissing/wooshing noise, like a huge vacuum leak. it sounds like its coming from the firewall/under dash area. it got louder with more throttle. a member here says its my cat. im getting new cats irregardless.

do clogged cats cause this noise?

If it's not too much trouble you might just wanna drop your exhaust and empty out your cats..my sister's car had the same problem ..i dropped her exhaust and emptied out the cat..then put exhaust back on..

All that air has to go somewhere..even if you feel air coming out of the tailpipe..that doesn't mean it's not clogged or dayuum near clogged..better safe than sorry i say..Good Luck!
