true duals tbird 96

http://www.mandrelexhaustsystems.com/servlet/StoreFront

check this web site out people if your interested in true duals for your tbird or cougar.. Im interested in the direct bolt on x pipe with two high flow cats but i live in california and it is not for legal use here..

would it be worth for me purchasing and i could make it legal here in california..

someone help.. i want this kit but i just want to make sure i can use it here with just a lil more money spent on making it CARB legal. Darren had suggested that its not legal because it has the xpipe in place of the third cat/resonator..

thanks
nate

As for california legal... what a lot of people seem to do with theirs is slap on a stock system come inspecial time... just gotta find a place to store the stock exhaust system when not in use. But I guess that's really the only way to go.

Now for legal.. I believe magnaflow makes a direct replacement for this car but I think they are like 1000 dollars... So it's your call.

It's only illegal if you don't get caught, right?

thanks guys and sorry for posting this AGAIN!
its the cats that are not CARB legal..

im just gonna probably get the tubing kit only, find me some kooks headers have my exhaust guy fab me up a x pipe after my stock cats and just throw on some magnaflows, no straight pipes or nothing just a good stock look =)

Does this seem worth it?
i mean theres nothing wrong with my stock cats, at 70k and they will still pass inspection without me having to find storage for my exhaust when i switch it out for inspection time lol..

I just want a good sound nothing obnoxious... but still loud!
i heard flowmasters are a lil louder then magnaflow but magnaflow has a lower tone

So have the issues with the O2 sensor location been fixed?

Thanks Darren. I'm having issues with the original stock cats on my car. I was thinking about getting just the front pipes with cats and fabbing up a "Y" pipe to hook up with my Dynomax cat back. Don't have the cash for the whole system at this point. I would love to put true duals on down the road. Can't decide between stainless or aluminized.

I'm pretty sure the O2 bung issue hasn't been fixed. But it's not that big of an issue. The Exhaust Shop can weld some new ones on. And My stainless exhaust has been on for almost a year. Still looks great. No issues what so ever. And it doesn't rust like Aluminized steal. I buy my crap to last... especially when i gotta pay that much for it.
