Explorer Block hugger headers

I have read alot of threads here about headers for the MN12, just curious if anyone has tried to make Dynomax Block huggers or other explorer headers work?. I have a set GT-40P heads.

The only true Explorer headers out there are Torque Monster and they will not fit period.

I don't see the block hugger headers fitting either.

The problem is the steering shaft; there's a mod somewhere here for adding ujoints to it to make mustang headers fit, but you'd have to search it out.

A cheap trick to run GT40 P heads with factory headers is to cut the flange off the explorer manifolds and use it as a spacer. That will give an extra 1/2" of clearance, which is just enough to avoid burning up plug wires, but small enough that you won't create other issues.
