3.8 crossover question

Hi all, so I was wondering if the 3.8 n/a needs a crossover for the exhaust, i feel that my car is way too quiet with just the muffler cut off with a single side dump by the rear wheels and was wondering if the 3.8 n/a needs a crossover and what would happen if i just removed the resonator.

I have a mustang 5.0 h pipe that i could install if need be but i was just curious if because these motors are even firing they don't need a crossover

Thanks, Zach

The third cat is the equivalent of a Y pipe. 2 to 1 exhausts don't need a traditional true dual style X/H crossover.

If you remove the resonator it will sound like poo and be unbearable to drive.
