What are you saying? Will it change your emission readings? Probably not much if any.....

was wanting to do the mid muffler but with a dual in single out in place of the 3rd cat
but was wondering if it'll hurt me bad at the smog check asis i pass well the under state average

ive found around here the smog ppl they check under hood smog stuff but they seem to shy away from checking under car only if you horrably fail

You might barely pass if the smog tech disregards the visual .. my SC passes with only 2 cats. On my old 4.6 I had a 3rd cat removed, and it failed miserabely .. put another one back on and it was good. It might depend on the condition of your two cats, if they are in good condition you might be ok. Only one way to find out.
