question about these

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Exhaust-...b4fe62&vxp=mtr

found these the other day, they look like they hug pretty close. does anyone know if these fit w/o needing to be modified for the steering shaft?

Shorties? You're going to have to modify Mustang headers no matter what and the gains just aren't there for shorties to make that worth the effort.

Yeah, the only "real, bolt-in" option here is to get the mid-lengths from SCP and have the rest of the exhaust customized to bolt up to them. The alternatives are modifying Mustang long tubes, or being patient - they do come up for sale occasionally here.

that's the problem. The mn12 steering shaft is itself close. When will you all learn that mustang stuff doesn't work..

You see that short tube welded onto rear two flanges with the smaller tubes? That's where the steering shaft goes through. Right where all those shorty tubes route into.

Yup, if you look at the stock manifolds/downtubes you'll see they pass all the way over the shaft towards the shock tower, if Mustang headers tucked AWAY we'd be golden.

So the stang long tube headers fit they just need to be worked and modify the rest to fit? If they will clear the firewall then it wouldn't be that hard.
