high flow cats

so my cats have been getting smelly on hard acceleration. Im thinking replacing them with high flow cats and throwing in an x pipe. maybe even delete 3rd cat. Has anyone done this? would I need a tune for high flow cats and 3rd cat delete?

On my 1995 4.6 I installed, so called, high flow cats, deleted the third cat, and the resonator, installed an X-pipe, 2 1/2"mandrel bent tubing and performance mufflers. The car ran great, and no tune was needed. Also eliminated the Y-pipe and
